Dr. Leah Tadesse said the main reason why International Nurses’ Day is celebrated is to commemorate the outstanding contribution of professionals in the health sector, especially in natural disasters, wars and epidemics.
He also said that the Ministry of Health will work in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Nurses Association to improve the professionalism of nurses.
Other professionals, including Dr. Leah Tadessen, were recognized on the occasion of the 18th World Nurses Day. Nurses, members of the Nurses’ Association and various professionals from various health facilities attended the event.
